Who we are

Shree Shyam Metals is a proprietorship registered in New Delhi, Delhi – 110042, India. Sanjay Kumar is the proprietor.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for any personal data you send us through this website, and the proprietor is the point of contact for every question and complaint about it.

What this website collects

Almost nothing happens automatically. This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, carries no advertising or tracking pixels, and embeds no social media widgets. Its fonts, images, stylesheet and script are all served from its own domain, so loading a page makes no request to any third party and builds no profile of you.

Two things are unavoidable:

• Server logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary web server entries — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time — which are used only to keep the site running and to investigate abuse.
• What you type into the enquiry form. That is: your name, company, email address, phone number, the product you are interested in, the quantity you need, and whatever you write in the message field.

What happens to an enquiry

When you press Send enquiry, nothing is sent to this website. The form opens your own email application with the details you typed already filled in and addressed to info@shreeshyammetals.in — you send it yourself, and you can edit or abandon it first. Your enquiry reaches us as an ordinary email and lives in our mailbox, nowhere else. This site has no database and stores nothing.

We use what you send for one purpose: to answer you, quote against your requirement, and — if you go on to buy or sell — to raise the invoice, e-way bill and transport documents that a consignment needs. We do not use enquiry details for marketing, and we do not add you to any list.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share enquiry details with other traders or brokers. Details go outside the firm in only three situations:

• To a transporter, where your delivery address and a contact number are needed to move a consignment to you.
• To our accountant and to the tax authorities, in the invoices and returns that Indian tax law requires us to file.
• Where a court, regulator or other authority lawfully requires it.

How long we keep it

An enquiry that does not lead to business is deleted from our mailbox once it is clear it will not, and in any case within two years.

Records of an actual transaction — invoices, e-way bills and the correspondence that supports them — are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires. We cannot delete those earlier, even on request, because retaining them is a statutory obligation.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry correspondence sits in a password-protected business mailbox that only the proprietor and the staff who need it can open, and we keep the number of people with access small — for a firm of this size that is the most effective control there is. No system is immune, but nothing you send us is stored on this website or in any database attached to it.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to:

• confirm what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it;
• correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything missing;
• erase what we hold, where the law does not require us to keep it;
• act on a nomination, so that someone you name can exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapable of exercising them yourself.

Write to us at the email address below and we will act on it. There is no charge. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This is a business-to-business trading site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us details through this site, tell us and we will delete them.

Other sites we link to

Our IndiaMART listing and our Facebook page are operated by those companies under their own privacy policies, not this one. Once you follow a link off this site, what happens to your data is between you and them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how enquiries are handled — by moving the form to a hosted form service, for instance — we will update this page and change the date on it. There is no other version of this policy anywhere.
